Rippin kitten – Crafted in the renowned Harley conversion workshop of Lord Drake Custom in Spain, the “LIBERATOR” is the latest creation by bike customizer Francisco Ali Manen. This striking custom motorcycle could very well be the one Captain America rides in one of his upcoming films.
The LIBERATOR is a stunning transformation of the Harley Davidson Softail Fat Boy. Featuring a twin cam engine, reimagined as a tribute to the iconic motorcycle of Marvel’s beloved superhero, Captain America. In various films, Captain America has been seen riding different models from this legendary American motorcycle brand.
This custom creation by Fran Manen and his team at Lord Drake Kustoms is heavily inspired by the 1942 WLA model, known as LIBERATOR. This bike was originally used by the U.S. Army during World War II and famously featured in Captain America: The First Avenger. According to Fran Manen (LDK), the LIBERATOR could be seen as a street version of the bike Captain America might ride in his downtime. However, unlike the original 1942 model,. Which was loaded with military gear such as ammunition boxes, shotgun holsters, and sirens, this custom build is a nod to the superhero’s legacy without those heavy-duty features.
“Malmesbury Town, The Old Town Was Once the Capital of England”
The LIBERATOR boasts several impressive modifications, starting with a striking rear end featuring a 240mm wheel and custom rims. The bike also sports a Legend air suspension system specifically designed for Harley Davidson Softail models. The Supertrapp Paul Yaffe X exhaust system. Reminiscent of a machine gun barrel (but with a much deeper and louder growl), adds to the bike’s fierce character.
Other notable features include medium handlebars, a large custom fuel tank, custom front fenders, and a digital Dakota odometer for Harley Davidson. Motogadget indicators mounted on the grips add a modern touch to this otherwise retro-styled bike.
To give the LIBERATOR a more contemporary flair. The Lord Drake Kustoms team opted for a sophisticated “OAK metallic green” finish, a color derived from Porsche’s palette. Instead of the usual matte military green often found on custom bikes. The bike’s gold detailing, including the star representing Captain America’s shield. Perfectly complements the custom brown leather seat, tank tie, and matching cuffs, bringing out the retro aesthetic of this impressive Harley Davidson.
The LIBERATOR is a tribute to both classic military history and modern customization. Capturing the spirit of Captain America’s iconic bike while providing a new, bold interpretation for the streets.
